With a
brilliant career and six albums
released, Mestrinho has
collaborated with some of the biggest names in Brazilian and
international music. Now, he arrives in London to deliver his only
UK show, where the rich culture of Brazil’s Northeast meets the
energy of the British capital.
A virtuoso
accordionist and a major figure in
contemporary
forró, Mestrinho was
born in Itabaiana, Sergipe, and grew up surrounded by music. By the
age of 6, he was already playing the accordion, and by 12, he had
begun his professional journey. Throughout his career, he has
shared the stage with legends such
as Dominguinhos, Gilberto Gil, Elba Ramalho,
and Hermeto Pascoal, solidifying his reputation
as one of the most respected artists in the genre.
